Main Topic: COM in Clarion

"Any version of Clarion can be used to gain full access to Microsoft COM Active Data Objects. No 'add-ons' are necessary. There are actually two methods of achieving this: The 'Names' Method, and the 'COM Object Pointers' Method. In the former case no Microsoft COM knowledge is necessary. In the latter case some knowledge is necessary, but it can be used as a way of understanding how Microsoft COM works ... because it is perfectly possible to 'parallel' both Methods side-by-side. Speaker Veronica Chapman describes the basics of these methodologies with examples." For those that don't know what COM is, its a way of including 3rd party add-ons available to programming languages like VB, C++, into your own applications. These add-ons can be things like Winfax, Internet Explorer, MS Word & Excel and you don't need a clarion template. Duration 2hrs Speaker Veronica Chapman Target Audience: No previous knowledge of COM
