20th March 2008

Mark Sarson has taken over the running of the UKCUG. You can visit the new site at www.ukcug.org and email mark at marksarson@gmail.com. He is after suggestions on how to take the user group forward especially in the dawn of Clarion7 and Clarion.net.

Richard Rose (who formerly ran the UKCUG for a number of years growing it into the largest in the world) will still be supporting the user group as a distributer of Clarion. So for the best possible prices for all the SoftVelocity products including add-ons contact Richard for a quote. richard@isv1.com

Plans are underway to organise a number of training courses for Clarion users to help familiarise themselves in the new versions of Clarion (version 7 & Clarion.net) and and the newMS Dot Net framework programming language Clarion# (pronounced Clarion Sharp). Clarion# is the first purpose built dot net business language in the world and continues to build upon the success of Clarion in the windows and DOS environment. For those that dont know, Clarion is the fastest development tool to develop business and database systems and the advent of Clarion.net springs it ahead of all the competition in terms of productivity and performance.
Future plans for the Clarion development environment will include support for C# and vb.net so corporate entities looking to increase the productivity of their .net programmers will be able to use Clarion.net instead of Visual Studio to produce .net applications, compact forms and web apps in the fastest way known to man.

Dont forget if you need to advertise any Clarion jobs you can advertise them for free at www.clarionjobs.com a free service provided by Richards company Intelligent Silicon Ltd or if you need to outsource any work you can with Intelligent Silicon Ltd.

Intelligent Silicon Ltd has helped numerous companies across the globe migrate applications to the latest version of Clarion and has had a number of software of companies including industry leading software companies to outsource their entire development to Intelligent Silicon to gain a competitive edge and a superior product. So to discuss your requirements please contact Richard at richard@isv1.com.
